Fee Structure for Counselling Services:
1. NDIS Funded Counselling sessions: We offer NDIS registered counselling services to individuals who:
- Are 10 years of age or older.
- Have capacity building (improved daily living) services included in their approved NDIS plan.
Session Fee in accordance with the NDIS price guide: AUD 156.16 (60 minutes).
2. Privately Paid Counselling Sessions: We also provide private counselling services, offering greater flexibility without the requirement of a mental health care plan. Choosing to pay privately allows for full control over your sessions and minimises the risk of your information being accessed by insurers or legal authorities.
Session Fee: AUD 120 per session.
3. Health Fund Rebates for Eligible Insurance Holders: We understand the importance of accessible mental health support, which is why we offer counselling services that may be eligible for rebates through select private health insurance providers. If your health fund covers counselling or psychological services, you may be able to claim a portion of your session fees. Coverage varies between providers and policies.
Session Fee: AUD 120 per session (rebates depend on your insurer and level of coverage).
What is NDIS Counselling and how can it help someone with a disability?
NDIS Funding for Counselling: To utilise NDIS funding for counselling, your NDIS plan must include “Improved Daily Living” support. This category allows for access to allied health professionals and can be flexibly applied to various therapeutic services.
The Benefits of NDIS Counselling: NDIS counselling is a therapeutic support designed to empower participants by developing skills for enhanced mental health, emotional regulation, and goal achievement. It’s a capacity-building service that focuses on personal growth, enabling greater independence.
We provides a safe and non- judgemental environment for exploring life’s complexities, allowing you to collaborate with a trained professional to overcome challenges.
While your NDIS plan offers diverse support, a counsellor provides specialised guidance and helps create practical strategies for areas where you experience overwhelm or difficulty.
Counsellors can assist you with:
- Navigating life transitions and achieving related goals.
- Improving memory, time management, social anxiety and diverse issues.
- Providing support during job searches.
Why choose a counsellor?
- Counsellors provide support to individuals dealing with challenges such as stress, domestic violence, grief, and other life difficulties. They can assist with workplace concerns, family conflicts, relationships, and parenting matters.
- Counselling offers a safe space to talk through your concerns, gain new perspectives, and explore possible solutions you may not have considered.
- Counsellors also work with individuals experiencing mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
- Unlike a diagnostic approach, counselling focuses on building a supportive and collaborative relationship to help you work through your concerns.
- Anmol holds a Master’s degree in Counselling alongside bachelor in Naturopath, AOD skill set training and has been in private practice in Melbourne for over seven years.
- You do not need a Mental Health Care Plan from a doctor to book a session with Anmol.
- Counsellors may have shorter wait times compared to psychologists, making it easier to access timely support.
