Janu Vasthi is a specialised Ayurvedic treatment which is used to relieve knee pain. A leak proof dough of black gram flour is built around the Knee region area and lukewarm medicinal oil around 200-300ml is slowly poured into it. The temperature of oil is maintained throughout the period for better result. This procedure is unique, which comprises both snehana (oleation) and swedana (sudation). This treatment usually runs for 45-60 minutes and over many sessions which can last 5-7 sessions depending upon the intensity and nature of the condition.
